The 9 month Søren........

Just a quick one for today....... I'm still recovering from all those long Victorian blog posts, so not too much rambling this time.

Søren is now rapidly approaching 10 months. Out longer than he was in!  He is super quick with his commando crawl. Never stays still. Climbs all over everything. Loves puzzles and pulling things to bits. His favourite (and only) words are Mum, Dad, bub and cat........ they can be said a hundred different ways, with so much feeling and passion! He also purrs like a cat whenever he sees his feline siblings.  He is absolutely the cheekiest boy going around. Still only has two teeth but knows how to use them :)

At 9 months he is still on the bottom of the chart for weight and height but starting to chub up nicely. We are getting great value out of all our baby clothes. We can't figure out how is still so small given he eats and eats and eats. If it's food he loves it, we haven't found a food he doesn't like. His sister is teaching him the fine art of 'dipping' his food into condiments.  She was at least 15 months before figuring that one out!

Aside from his favourite pastimes of eating and commando crawling at high speed, Søren loves to butterfly with great force and excitement - in the shower, the pool, the bath or on the floor.  Water is constantly everywhere!

Enjoy some photos from the last week or two..... a 9 and a half month Søren being cheeky, chatting to the camera, making funny faces and trying to talk to his reflection in the floor and giving us his signature grin!

Silly expressions and other Soren specialities

There have been lots of Astrid posts lately, but Søren is definitely not forgotten!  He is so full of character and personality and generally a very happy chap.  He just cracks me up with his silly faces and expressions.  This series of photos was taken over eighty seconds.  From the sweet and innocent, to some thinking, some drumming, some tongue poking, some gummy grins and some air guitar.  He is a busy boy. All while screaming 'Dad, Dad, Dad' at the top of his lungs and giggling with delight! There is never a dull moment with Søren....

I think my favourites would have to be these two........ so Søren!

This week it's all about the ears and being cheeky!

We started the week off with Keanan's birthday party on the Sunday. Astrid of course was the picture of innocence, happily eating fairy bread, sausage rolls, cake (and anything else that took her fancy) and being slightly overwhelmed by the number of excitable boys at the party!  She did thoroughly enjoy her 'pass the parcel' experience and scored big time in the present area! The two lots of cat ears she got, and the books were hits.

While Astrid was oblivious to the Spiderman theme, everyone else was impressed and Keanan did a good impression of a superhero for the day!

Despite the amount of sugar she consumed, Astrid did manage a good sleep that night, and told me she 'had heaps and heaps of fun!'. So well done to Sharyn for organising a great party! The party ears remained a hit for the rest of the week.

The child refuses to wear a head band or hair clips but was happy to wear her ears all week. Requesting me to lift her up and show her the ears in the mirror, on numerous occasions. Anto and I have also been spotted wearing them at various intervals. Apparently it's easier to look like a dork than argue with your 2 year old!!

You'll notice the abundance of cheeky grins and silly faces little Miss A pulls these days. She is quite happy to ham it up for the camera and insists on looking at the photos of herself on the camera display after I've taken them.

Even when we were playing out in the garden, I got a variety of interesting expressions out of her......

When she is being sensible you get something lovely like this:

......but I love the silly faces too!
