Favourite Photo Friday - 27/11/15

There has definitely been a lack of posting lately, and I haven't done a photo Friday in awhile!  I actually have a few quite a few images from the last couple of weeks to share but am mid-way through a blog upgrade, a million preparations for our trip and all the end of year celebrations and catch-ups.

In the meantime, I'll quickly share a few images and try for some posts next week! Last weekend the alpacas got shorn (timely after some 36 degree days) so I'll be posting about that soon.  Here is full fluff picture of Chimu, very cute with his big woolly coat.  Which given the changeable weather has kept in him warm in the 10 degree and raining days, but made him  very unhappy on the 36 degree days....

The alpacas are not fans of the shearing process.  I do love this shot of Inti, being de-fleeced. It was a very warm and sunny Saturday afternoon, and that is not grot on my lens, it's all his fleece flying in the air like snow!

There was also a late-afternoon game of hide and seek across the road in forest.  These are two of my favourite shots of the kids. It was very warm but they were happy to run and hide, and did not want to come home for showers and bed!  I'll post more of these shots soon....

Favourite Photo Friday - 2/10/15

It's been a bit of a big and unpleasant week with Astrid having surgery to take out her tonsils and adenoids and put in some grommets.  She is very under the weather at the moment, but since we knew it was going to be a miserable couple of weeks, we tried to fit in a couple of fun activities before the surgery. This meant a very quick trip to Floriade last Friday. Both kids adore Floriade, and as usual I took my camera and got some pics of the flowers and fun.

I'll do a separate post in the next few days about our Floriade visit, with plenty more pics.  For now, here are a few of my favourites, including a much happier Astrid than the current version!

Favourite Photo Friday - 4/9/15

It's been awhile since I did a favourite photo Friday.....2 months - eep! But, I got my act into gear this week (finally) and thought I'd share a couple of my fave blossom pics from the last couple of weeks. Spring is finally here and we have been in the garden a bit over the last few weeks, but I'll post more about that later.

I haven't taken many photos of late but I always have to crack the camera out to capture the spring blossoms in our garden, and chase some bees. I hope you enjoy some pretty blossoms to brighten up your Friday.... bye bye Winter!

This week, a few quick favourite pics from our Winter afternoon walk with the alpacas.  Astrid was modelling her new birthday dress and capelet and Soren was happily playing with grass and sticks. The alpacas loved the beautiful afternoon sunshine for their grass munching!

I will post some more pictures from this set in a couple of days, but for now here are a few of my favourites........

Favourite Photo Friday - 5/6/15

I've been a little slack with the photo taking and blog posting the last few weeks.  Everyone has been sick, it's been cold, and we've been trying to organise our next overseas trip (I'll post more about that later).  I have managed to take the odd picture or two though, and I'll catch up on some blog posts in the next week or so, but for now here are a few of my favourite snaps of the week.

Favourite Photo Friday - 22/5/15

This weeks photo Friday proudly features the brown furry bear hat we bought for Astrid while in Europe in 2012, I'm fairly sure it was purchased in Switzerland.  As we were travelling in late Autumn/early Winter it was fairly chilly and most of our Europe photos feature Astrid in her red coat, furry bear hat and Amsterdam purchased Zara boots.  The hat is lovely and warm and got a good work out.  Now it has been recycled for Master Soren to wear.

Soren at 19 months (May 2015)  - Canberra, Australia

Astrid got to wear it in far more exotic locations, I think that hat has been to at least 7 countries and kept her head warm and cosy on very chilly days.  Here are just a few of my fave pics of Astrid sporting her furry bear hat.

I must do a proper updated photo comparison of the two of them, but I can definitely see similarities! Astrid is such a girl, and Soren, such a boy, but they both have the same cheeky grin!!!

Favourite photo Friday - 8/5/15

It's been a very strange Autumn, it seemed to go from Summer like temperatures to freezing Winter temperatures with nothing much in between, except a whole lot of damp and rain.  I've been meaning to take the kids out for a play in the Autumn leaves, but there hadn't been a day nice enough to do it, until last weekend.

All of a sudden it was a perfect Canberra Autumn morning........

I have more photos from this batch which I will post in a few days, but here are a few faves I found as I was sorting through them!
